Nursing care at emh care & support offers high-quality care in locations across Chesterfield.

We're committed to enabling all our residents to remain independent for as long as possible. We do this by working with you to cater to the specific needs of your relatives, giving you peace of mind that they are being cared for in the best way possible.

We have nurses on hand to help with residents’ daily activities, including getting dressed, washing, eating and getting out and about. Our registered, fully-qualified nurses dispense medication, change dressings and help with any arising medical issues. They undergo regular training to ensure the highest standards of care for your loved ones.

Medication management is also a crucial part of our care, with trained nursing staff always available to dispense medication and deal with any problems that arise in an efficient and timely manner.

A nursing care home ensures that your loved one is always safe, with around-the-clock care and equipment that is designed to prevent slips and falls and protect residents from harm.

Activities in our nursing homes

There is a wide range of activities on offer with options to suit residents of all physical and mental abilities. Residents can choose from a whole host of daily activities, including baking, painting, flower arranging, pottery, and various forms of exercise such as Pilates, yoga and Tai Chai. Of course, residents can be involved as much or as little as they want, with no pressure to take part in activities if they don't want to.

Our staff are always available to help residents get involved in onsite activities and those taking place in the wider community.

Testimonials from our residents’ families

"Amberley is a small but excellent nursing home. My sister has been cared for there for almost two years now. Nursing care is excellent. All staff are very kind and caring towards the residents, going above and beyond, making an excellent team. It has an amazing sensory area that was decorated for Christmas with a big wall covering of a homely fireplace with lights and Christmas decorations."

"Always superbly clean and fresh. Bright and cheerful environment with big windows in the lounge with a piano as well as a TV. The rooms are not ensuite, but a good size. The food is excellent. Entertainment and planned activities are now timetabled for all to see, including choir visits, pet therapy, a visiting pantomime, coffee mornings and some local outings. Warm family atmosphere. Priceless."

"My brother has been in this care home for just over a year, I was very apprehensive about him going to live there. I should not have worried; all the staff are good with all the service users who live there. I go any time of the day and it's never an issue. If I ever have any issues, any member of staff is happy to help sort things. I would recommend this care home to anyone."

"So grateful my sister is being looked after by this fabulous team of carers! They are all fabulous. She is very happy here I know. Thank you to all of you brilliant carers and the manager, thank you for getting a lovely one-to-one carer for her. You are all fabulous!

"The service and staff have been amazing through a most difficult period for us and our family, they have made us all feel like part of a family. Nothing is too much trouble. My family member who is there at the minute has improved and is a lot happier after a most difficult time previously."
