About us
We provide 18,000 affordable homes in more than 35 local authority areas.
We have been providing good quality affordable homes to individuals and families in the East Midlands since 1946.
But there is more to our work than looking after your home. We also help create communties where you can feel safe and supported.
We do this by:
- listening to your ideas and views about how you want our services to be delivered. No-one understands what matters most than you. Our resident groups let you have a say in how we manage your home and allows us to continually improve our services.
- backing up our housing with a range of support services and sheltered housing for residents who need help to live securely and independently.
Tackling financial exclusion is a major part of our work, and we offer advice and support on a range of money-related matters.
We also provide adaptations for people with disabilities and a personal alarm service for housebound residents.
Finally, emh homes delivers value for money in all our areas of work. This means we run our organisation carefully and efficiently so that you get the best homes and housing services with the resources we have.
The other members of the group are emh care & support and Midlands Rural Housing, which provides specialist rural housing support services.

As an employer with more than 250 employees, in line with Gender Pay Reporting under the Equality Act 2010 (Gender Pay Gap Information) Regulations 2017 we have published a report showing the difference between the average earnings of men and women.
