Better housing and care

Our Better housing and care corporate plan and strategy for 2023-26 responds directly to the Better Social Housing Review recommendations.

The plan also details our commitment to positive placeshaping and how we meet the latest requirements for consumer regulation and inspection, Tenant Satisfaction Measures and statutory powers of the Housing Ombudsman Service.

Our plan highlights three big, national challenges:

  • Finding a long-term solution to pay for the social care and health of a rapidly ageing and growing population
  • Preventing, reducing and responding to homelessness – no-one should be without somewhere safe, secure and affordable to live
  • Net zero and low-carbon living – upgrading properties to make them better insulated, more energy efficient and affordable to heat.
