Ensuring people feel welcome, included and listened to is vital to our future success.

We pride ourselves on respecting people’s differences fairly, both in the homes and services we provide and as an employer and partner. We strive to make our workforce and governance reflect the communities we serve, and take action to close gender and ethnicity pay gaps.

Our approach to equality, diversity and inclusion demonstrates how we can move from unconscious bias to conscious inclusion and equality of outcomes. We promote a groupwide culture of inclusion and psychological safety, working with our colleague networks such as the BAME, LGBTQ+, Neurodiversity, Women's, and Disability groups.

We work in some of the most ethnically and culturally diverse parts of the UK, so have adopted and follow the Race Equality Code. We meet all our obligations under the Equality Act, including action to eliminate unfair discrimination against people with protected characteristics (for example, age, sex, race, disability and sexual orientation).
