Our mission is to provide homes and care to improve opportunities for people, and to keep on getting better.

Our Care and Support service is part of emh group. We provide affordable homes and related care and support services to people and communities across the East Midlands. The group is driven by core values of integrity, diversity, openness, accountability, clarity and excellence. These enable us to support the communities we work with and to influence national policy.

Enabling better lives is at the heart of everything we do. We help people to live an enjoyable, independent life by advocating on their behalf or by providing activities, support, care and housing to match their needs.

We also provide a wide range of housing and supported living services for young parents, homeless people and those in later life.

We offer a busy and diverse programme of activities at venues across Derbyshire. We also work in the community, with organisations including universities and GP practices, to provide better access to information for customers.

We have a highly skilled and experienced team who work in partnership with local authorities, health providers, other social housing providers, charities and voluntary groups to provide the housing, support and care that best meets each person’s needs.

We also work closely with individuals, their families, staff, carers and the community to ensure that people receive the best support available to them.

Working together with customers enables the people we support to be engaged in decision-making. Senior managers regularly attend the forum meetings to listen to feedback on suggestions from the group.

As a social housing and care provider, we have a significant presence in the East Midlands and a strong track record of delivering accommodation and support for homeless people.

Our Homelessness Strategy sets out how we help to tackle homelessness, through:

•    Providing a wide range of homes
•    Preventing homelessness
•    Lobbying
•    Partnership working.

Salaries for Care and Support colleagues are set at a minimum of 6 per cent above National Living Wage.

As an employer with more than 250 employees, in line with the Gender Pay Gap Information Regulations 2017, we publish a report showing the difference between the average earnings of men and women.

As part of our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy, we also report annually on pay differences by ethnicity.
