We actively protect everyone’s safety, rights and wellbeing.

This page is divided into three sections: information for Adults and Children and Young People (select from the image below) and more general information for all below this.

Each section gives simple, easy-to-read explanations about what safeguarding means, what abuse is, and what to do if something goes wrong.

You’ll also find tailored advice, practical steps, and links to support services for each group, so you know where to turn for help and protection.

Scroll down and choose the section that’s right for you to get the information and support you need.

What do we do

We want everyone to feel safe, healthy and happy.

Safeguarding means protecting people from harm, abuse or neglect. It’s about making sure everyone’s rights are respected and they can live safely.

We have clear rules to help protect adults, children and young people. These rules help us spot problems early and take action to keep people safe.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and all of our staff receive safeguarding training. We work closely with other agencies and make referrals to them to make sure people who receive support from us are free from abuse and neglect.

emh care & support has an appointed Safeguarding Lead and Deputy Safeguarding Lead.

Email centralhub@emh.co.uk or call 01246 599999.

You can also contact social services to report your concerns. Contact your local authority who will be able to assist you with your enquiry. Alternatively, you can download the NHS Safeguarding app.
