How to raise an alarm:

How it works:
- The sheltered coordinator responds when on duty
- At other times, calls go to a 24‑hour monitoring centre
- The team can contact friends or relatives, your GP or emergency services

Our sheltered coordinators ensure each scheme runs smoothly and provide day‑to‑day support for older residents.
They can assist with:
- Promoting independence
- Monitoring wellbeing
- Organising social opportunities
- Responding to emergencies
- Working with health and social care professionals
- Arranging adaptations and assessments
- Advising on benefits and local services
Please note: coordinators do not provide personal care, but they can help you access it through social care. They also have resources to support specialist needs, including interpreting services and large‑print materials.
Costs vary by scheme and may include:

- A regular service charge
What the service charge typically covers:
- Cleaning and repairs to communal areas
- Grounds maintenance
- Lift and security system servicing
- Building insurance
- The emergency alarm service
- Support from the sheltered coordinator
