Emh has announced a reshaped executive team, designed to strengthen leadership capacity and to support the organisation as it enters its 80th year.

With the development of a new corporate plan in progress, Chris Jones has been appointed Executive Director of Housing and Development, with overall strategic responsibility for emh homes. This role will focus on emh’s ambition to create a fully joined up customer experience across all housing and development services. Chris will also take on the position of Deputy Chief Executive.

Ian Davies, currently Group Director of Property, will join the Executive Team in the newly created role of Executive Director of Quality Homes. This appointment reflects the importance of the quality and safety of emh’s homes.

In addition, Jo Tilley’s job title will change from Executive Director of Corporate Services to Executive Director of People and Strategy, representing her existing responsibilities for culture and people.

Ruth Jennings, Executive Director of Care and Support, and Geoff Clarke, Executive Director of Finance, continue in their posts, as the executive team jointly shape the next phase of emh’s evolution and build on our strong 80-year history.

Charley Gibbons, Chief Executive of emh, said:

“Since I took on my role six months ago, I’ve spent considerable time getting to know our colleagues and all aspects of a very diverse organisation. These changes position us well to deliver on what matters most to our customers and colleagues, and bring greater reassurance to the regulator and funders of our capacity, contingency and commitment to delivering homes and services that improve opportunity.

“It is an exciting time as we look to celebrate our 80th year, and look to the future of how emh can continue a proud legacy of always believing in better.”

The changes come into effect from April 1.
