We are delighted that we have been confirmed as a Strategic Partner for the Government’s Social and Affordable Homes Programme (SAHP), receiving £314 million to support the delivery of new affordable homes across the East Midlands.
Working alongside our delivery partner, Futures Housing Group, we will build 2,495 homes over the next seven years. The homes will address priority housing need and will include a range of tenures and housing types, including social rent, shared ownership, rural housing and supported housing.
Chris Jones, Deputy CEO at emh group said:
“We are delighted to have been confirmed as a Strategic Partner to the Social and Affordable Homes programme. This funding will support us, along with Futures, to build much-needed new homes that meet a diverse range of housing needs and tenures. This is a fantastic result for us, and for our future residents, and we will continue to work closely with our local authority partners to address priority housing needs across the East Midlands.”
We are one of 33 Strategic Partners for the SAHP and will continue our established partnership with Futures Housing Group to deliver these new homes. The funding will help both organisations provide homes that meet local housing needs and support the delivery of sustainable communities across the region.
Anthony Holt, Director of Development & Assets at Futures said:
"This is fantastic news and we’re delighted to have secured the funding through our partnership with emh. The funding will help us deliver much-needed affordable homes over the next six years, supporting individuals and families to access more quality housing across the East Midlands.”
In addition to supporting our mission to provide safe and secure homes that meet the needs of people living in the communities it serves, the SAHP funding will help boost local economies and create employment and training opportunities across the East Midlands.
